about

Born and raised in Moravia, New York, Erica Walters discovered her love of music and singing at the age of 3 when she was active in her church's children's choir.  As an adult, she continues to enrich the music of the very same church as a vocalist, hand bell player, praise band member, and stand in director. She sings with local community and church choirs, and performs as a soloist at church services, weddings, and other ceremonies and events.

Erica studied voice privately for over 10 years and is a classically trained Soprano. She has also studied piano, guitar and flute. She continues to study and develop her musical and teaching skills

and is dedicated to her students.

Erica is an alum of Cayuga Community College, where she earned her AA Degree in Liberal Arts prior to transferring to Oswego State. At Oswego State, Erica earned a BA in Music with a minor in Theater.

She recently earned a Masters of Music in Choral Conducting at Messiah University.

In addition to teaching at Notable Beginnings studio, Ms. Walters is currently

the Choral Director and Assistant Professor of Vocal Music at Cayuga Community College

where she teaches Chorus, Musical Theatre, Voice, Piano, Music Theory, Conducting, and Diction.

Erica currently resides at her home with her husband and two sons, where Notable Beginnings Studio is also located, overlooking Owasco Lake.  When she is not teaching, performing, or practicing, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets.
